Evergreen FC lost out to a an in form Usher Celtic in the last sixteen of the O’Neill’s Junior Cup on the Kells Road last weekend. A five month layoff for Evergreen took its toll on the home side while the Dublin side having already played Crettyard Utd the previous weekend used this to their full advantage. One nil down from a Jordan Buckley goal, Evergreen responded well with a trademark headed goal from Sean Barcoe. A defensive error from the Green’s saw an impressive Jonathan Buckley brought down by goalkeeper Philly Johnston. Calvin Douglas stepped up to make it 2-1 at half time. A wonder goal from Celtic’s Stephen Donnelly made it 3-1 and a deserved victory for the visitors.
